Grief

Grief can be invasive

Like the morning glories that twist and curl into every corner of the garden,

Appearing as a beautiful uninvited guest that overstays its welcome

 not volunteering to leave.

Perhaps it needs a home,

To bury its roots in the rich soil of our heart

grasping at the limbs and branches there

to make its full potential known.

So as not to invade every inch,

 it can be trained

along the fences and trellises

In our heart

finding its place to live

And be loved
