Why would you want to attend my Yoga Nidra/iRest meditation class

two days in a row?

One answer is your nervous system.

 

iRest/Yoga Nidra is a research based 10 step process used to treat many chronic conditions.

If you have one session of the iRest meditation, it begins the process of changing your nervous system, especially while you are in the meditation.  Those who have experienced this one hour class have reported a sense of deep peace and calm.

 

When followed up the very next day, the practice installs and embeds further into the nervous system and continues to quiet the vagus nerve. This process activates the parasympathetic (“rest and digest”) system to immediately reduce stress, anxiety and heart rate. Your mind and body begin to trust this state of being. It’s like being on retreat, while at home living your life.

 

Even if you can’t join two days in a row, when practicing some of the many stages of the iRest stages during the time in between sessions, a little and often, our nervous system can feel the benefits,  It is a great habit to form for yourself, and ripples out to the world around you.   â€‹â€‹

Classes will incorporate iRest/Yoga Nidra guided meditation practices including a few moments of gentle movement and centering, breathing techniques, positive affirmation intentions, mudras, and sound.​

Unable to make the group classes, or want individual attention?

Individual sessions are now offered 

in person at Rhonda’s Resting Space.

 

Come find peace and solace in this peaceful private setting.

You will receive individual attention to address various types of set backs and suffering through rejuvenation practices for your whole being.

Yoga movement and more…Finding Equanimity amidst the stressors in our daily lives

 

Though gentle asana movement including breathing and meditative practices, you can strengthen your connection with your body’s innate wisdom, release tightness, and restore vitality and ease throughout your whole being.

 

I am so happy to be one of the teachers to offer this to you.

Jean Grant Sutton’s Wednesday evening classes will be expanding to include an experienced team of teachers that rotate throughout the month.

 

I will teach once a month yoga asana class from 5:30-6:45 on the following dates:

 

Usually taught on the fourth Wednesday of the month

 (unless specified)

 

 March 25 (Marjorie Richardson will sub)

April 22, 

May 20 (3rd Wednesday),

June 24

And continuing throughout the year.
