In Anticipation of New Seasons

Have You Noticed?

Have you noticed

the glistening light like diamonds

sprayed across the leaves, pine needles, and flowering trees

In March, after the gentle rains

when the sun comes out?

Thousands of little lights

kiss the earth

reminding us that Beauty can exist

In a world troubled beyond our capacity to hold.

I want to hold the world

and all beings in this light

so that it outshines

Any troubles humans create…

hold the diamond light up to 

The eyes of all those who

Create suffering 

And have them gaze at it 

Infinitely.
